Dr. Brian has experience working with adults, college and graduate school students, and couples. He has a special passion for working with couples of all stages, whether dating, engaged or married. He finds great fulfillment in walking alongside individuals, couples, and families during their time of need and in aiding them in achieving the change they seek in their lives.

In particular, Dr. Brian a strong passion for helping couples (i.e., dating, pre-marital/ engaged, and married) to grow in intimacy and the ability to successfully navigate challenges as they arise. He is trained in administering the Prepare-Enrich Couples Relationship Assessment, and at times utilizes this as a tool to identify strengths and growth areas in your relationship.

Dr. Brian  believes in the importance of giving clients practical solutions and skills to create change in their lives. As such, he approaches individual therapy primarily from a cognitive-behavioral therapy model for addressing and reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, stress, and anger and begins couples therapy by providing concrete couples communication and conflict reduction skills. He also utilizes psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy approaches in individual and couples therapy.
